Awesome Pinoy food and service, we intentionally put this in our London agenda because of the great reviews and menu! The Filipino family running this restaurant was a pleasure to talk to, they’re enthusiastic about sharing our traditional good food to London. Looking forward to them opening soon after their renovations are done, make sure to visit! Every item was worth it, especially the red horse beer 😁

Very cute philipino restaurant with excellent service and really good food.
Toilet not good for disabled people as you have few steps to get into, that's the only problem but apart from this the restaurante offer a good value with very efficient staff and so kind and professional... very recommended!!!

Place is too far away from where we were located. If you’re in Islington, it’ll take you around 40 minutes to reach the restaurant using Uber. But nvm, that was our choice to eat there. Unfortunately, we did not make a reservation as we thought we are there early enough at 12 hence, we took our chance. Apparently, all their tables were booked and so we had the choice to eat outdoors or wait for a table to be free at 14:00. We couldn’t really wait for 2pm having traveled all the way to sample this highly rated restaurant so we said sure, we can eat outdoors.
Our fault to have agreed to eat outdoors as the sun was ferocious (no shade as their retractable roof is broken) and there was a bit of wind.
Defo not comfy to eat and all the vehicles passing by. The biggest concern for us was that in the 2 hours we’ve been there, no one came to occupy their supposedly reserved tables. They could have said we can dine indoors but must vacate the tables after 2 hours or something. No goodwill at all. The waiter was ok but we had to order a soft drink 3x before he could bring it.
All in all, we felt neglected and shunned with the reception we got. The food was good, but we
did not feel welcome at all. Would you pay 131 GBP to dine under the sun by the roadside? Wouldn’t do it again, ever no matter how others raved about the food especially as there were lots of free tables indoors.

Had a lovely evening at Mama’s Kubo. The staff was very kind and service was efficient. We discovered flavours from Filipino cuisine which was a first time for us. The lemongrass lemonade was delicious. The dishes were yummy with quality fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is calm and cosy; I really appreciated. I recommend and will come again to try your other dishes.

Made me miss my mums cooking :) As someone with a Filipino mum, I'm familiar with the flavors, and I was happy to find that the food here compared well to my mum’s cooking.
I was with a group of 8 friends - the dishes were great for sharing, which was perfect since most of my friends had never tried Filipino food before. We ordered a variety of dishes so everyone could try a bit of everything, but my absolute favorite was the fish Sinigang. It had such a bold, strong sour flavour that really stood out.
The service was equally wonderful. The lady who served us was very welcoming, answering all of our questions with a smile. She even let my friend sample the iced tea to make sure the sweetness was to his liking before he ordered it.
Overall, it was a great experience, with delicious food and a warm, friendly atmosphere. I’d definitely come back!
