Brilliant food authentic tasting filipino cuisine, Atmosphere is quiet for 4pm on Wednesday afternoon. If more people ate the atmosphere would improve. Recommend anyone to try
Across the two times I’ve visited, I think their beef kare kare is their best dish served on a sizzling plate. The distinct nutty flavours and the tender beef is definitely the highlight out of their menu. The BBQ silog was pretty good with the distinct sweetness of the banana ketchup, would recommend both this and the kare kare. The lechon kawali is served hot, crispy and with a nice sauce but only has 5 slices, which doesn’t seem like much for the price point. The sizzling sisig-silog is alright but the hot plate does burn the vegetables and java rice. Overall, the restaurant has a homely authentic vibe, providing complementary hot soup, and some decent quality dishes.
Hosted my birthday here back in February and it was honestly one of the best nights in my life! 🤩They kindly let us book out the whole restaurant for around 45 people with very little upfront cost, as our group ordered plenty of food and drinks throughout the evening. Adela and everyone working at adela’s were incredibly kind and accommodating to us from initial conversations on the phone to on the day. They made such a big effort to look after us and you could tell they were enjoying the celebration just as much as we were 😆, which made the atmosphere even more special. The karaoke was an exceptional main part of the night & one of our friends played his saxophone while we were singing🎷. Litrerally magical! We got to add our own decorations and it genuinely felt like being back in the Philippines. As a Filipino, it genuinely felt like a karaoke night back home in the Philippines, and I couldn’t believe we were able to do it all at such a reasonable cost for the whole place!
The food was very lovely. Best chicken wings I've ever had. Nice tender pork and beef. Very interesting chicken breast - Cordon Blue, tried it first time and was Wow so good. Spageti was ok, needed bit more sauce. Rice was like rice- white. Tried ube dessert, interesting! Bit chewy, but nice. Unfortunately didn't get the chance to try the other dessert. Atmosphere was chill with some nice music in background. Place is small. Would say fits around 20 people there. The ladies working there look angry but are very nice 😆 👌 All in all would say money well spent.
The staffs were friendly to us, checking in to make sure the taste was ok. I’ve tried Filipino food once before somewhere else which was too much sourness to me so I wasn’t expect much. We ordered a chicken stew and beef in peanut butter sauce. There were free soups came with the dishes but surprisingly no rice. We ordered egg fried rice but they only use egg white without yolk so the rice looked a bit sad. We like the chicken dish slightly more than the beef. There’s a slightly drop of vinegar in the chicken dish but in a very good level. Overall it’s a ok restaurant, we paid approx. under £35 for 2no. main dishes + a rice.
