Can’t understand the 1 star reviews 🤔 we had a totally different experience.
It was 10pm. No restaurants were open, Kamayan was the only place that let us come in to sit and eat.
The server let us know that all they had left was the food in the Bain Marie since the kitchen had closed.
Our hearts dropped for a moment since this usually doesn’t go well. But we were so wrong.
This was some of the best Filipino food we’ve had in London and this was only their Bain Marie food at the end of the night!
Despite the kitchen being closed, he made an exception and cooked us fried aubergines that came with picked vegetables and that was so declious! We also got the Bicol Express (chilli pork belly) and Pork Adobo - both from the Bain Marie but still nice and hot. Of course we also got rice as typical asians do 🫡
If you’re in the area, do not miss this. We can’t wait to go back. 5 stars. They really deserve a much higher rating and so underrated!

We had a really disappointing experience here. We traveled quite far just to try this Filipino restaurant, but unfortunately it didn’t live up to expectations.
We arrived around 8:00 PM, placed and paid for our order online, and settled in. About 30 minutes later, we were asked to move tables, which was already inconvenient. By 9:30 PM, our food still hadn’t arrived—even though the restaurant was nearing closing time and we were extremely hungry. When we followed up, we were told the order hadn’t even been relayed to the chef yet. After another 10 minutes, the food finally came out. The quality didn’t justify the long wait or the price. The kare-kare (around £18) had a very small portion—just three small pieces of oxtail (mostly bone), minimal vegetables, and a sauce that felt lacking. The lechon kawali was tough and served cold, with barely any sauce. Even the rice was cold and overpriced for such a small serving. The halo-halo tasted good, but again, the portion was quite small. Overall, the experience was frustrating—from the service to the food quality and pricing. Hopefully this was just a one-off, but based on this visit, it’s hard to recommend.

Very decent food and overall friendly staff. I enjoyed my time there. While I wish a significant amount of the menu was cheaper and that some portions were more generous, I was decently satisfied with the quality.
Would recommend.

I’ve ordered crispy pata last Thursday in this restaurant and they served something that looks re-fried and of much lesser quality than the next table who also ordered crispy pata. I’ve flagged this to the server and he said the chef went home already and the person who cooked our food was not really the chef and he sliced the pork joint before frying.. I said this not acceptable and we barely touched that particular food ordered. He apologised and he said he understands but still charged me of the badly served dish. This reflects bad customer service and inappropriate food preparation for the crispy pata.. I am a returning costumer and even raved about this restaurant’s food! And I was embarrassed bringing my friends in Kamayan for the bad crispy pata.

Visiting Earl's Court today for lunch! It seems to be a little bit of a mini Philippines 🇵🇭. We picked Kamayan Sa as the reviews seemed to be very wide ranging and I was curious to see which end we'd be in 😂
Reading the menu, it is definitely catered to Filipinos so I spent quite a lot of time using Google (Lens) to find out what most of the dishes meant!
We ended up having:
- tortang talong (🍆 omelette)
- lechon kawali (super crispy pork 🐷 belly)
- sizzling sisig (pork)
- garlic 🧄 rice (might be my new favourite thing!)
I'm pleased to say we are in the happy camp. Food was good and service was not as bad as reviews suggested. Portions were also generous - I couldn't manage dessert 🙈. The customers were all mostly Filipino too which was very comforting. I would say that if you visit this place and expect it to be like a family run cafe with some element of randomness, you'll be ok!
